Levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced.
As a violin teacher, I learned that every individual can play the violin, anyone can develop his or her musical abilities. Some may learn faster than others in the beginning stages because of the natural talent they are born with in music. However, no one can excel without proper guidance and diligent practice.
Learning to play an instrument takes a lot of patience and devotion. Do not get discouraged because you do not see any immediate progress. Learning to play the violin and improving on your skills as a violinist is very much like training the muscles of the body. You cannot run for a week and hope that you can win the marathon. Likewise, learning to play the violin takes consistent practice and training. It takes time.
Some of the things I focus on include using proper posture while keeping all of your muscles relaxed. I stress the importance of keeping a healthy balance between challenging yourself and taking breaks when necessary.
I use both the traditional and Suzuki methods to ensure that my students can develop their sight-reading skills as well as establish the necessary foundation to excel as a violinist. I focus on building a solid foundation with various technique books to help students create different sound quality and style.
Teaching is my greatest privilege as I have the opportunity to see my students grow and succeed as they gain confidence in their skills.
PRIVATE VIOLIN LESSON fees per lesson:
30 minute violin lesson: £25
45 minute violin lesson: £35
60 minute violin lesson: £50
Lessons are provided on a weekly basis to ensure that students can retain all of the lesson material and continue to learn.
Every student learns and excels at a different pace. Only the students' own practice and their implementation of what was taught during their lesson determines their progress.
