Tziganarama
A 3-piece band based in London, playing gypsy, klezmer and Eastern European folk music on fiddle, accordion and double bass.
The band repertoire includes Klezmer, Russian, Hungarian, Rumanian, Bulgarian, Macedonian and Polish traditional tunes, along with a good number of original numbers written by Chris (fiddle - leader).
They perform a broad range of styles from the dark and mysterious doinas of Romania, the baffling rhythms of the Balkan horos, the lively Khosid bulgars and cossack dances to the jolly Polish polkas and slinky New York klezmer.
The band is an excellent choice for Bar Mitzvahs reception, Weddings and Parties.
MUKKA
MUKKA are a London-based band and are available for weddings, parties and live events in the UK and abroad.
If you can get a bunch of people who've never met, to join hands and dance themselves crazy in a circle in London, you can do it anywhere. And Mukka have done it everywhere from Glastonbury Festival to the Queen's Concert at Buckingham Palace.
From their earliest appearances, Mukka have built a reputation for wild energetic shows. With the later addition of the extraordinarily charismatic Romanian singer Dana Codorean-Berciu, Mukka's performances could swoop from reckless abandon to deepest Transylvanian melancholy. People have been known to jump from the balcony onto the stage at Mukka shows, before and after they've danced themselves into a trance.
Repertoire: Gypsy, Klezmer, Eastern European and Middle Eastern music with jazzy swing and punky energy!
