David Giardino Music can provide ensembles of various sizes and combinations, ranging from duos to septets. Jazz line-ups start with a core of double bass and piano or guitar, and can then be supplemented with any of drums, tenor sax, alto sax, flute, vocals.
Adding a drummer is the simplest way of increasing the versatility of a group, while not necessarily increasing its volume.
A typical jazz line-up would be made of a piano, double bass, tenor sax and drums. An ensemble of this size is extremely versatile, and can provide anything from background music to music for dancing.
